Camping has seen a massive boost in popularity during the global pandemic, and 2021 will see the trend continue. At CoffeeGeek, our goal is for you to have amazing coffee and to develop the skills needed to deliver it anytime, any place, anywhere. That includes off the grid, while travelling, and while camping.

To help you get better coffee wherever you are, we’re introducing a new series in the CoffeeGeek Blog called Coffee Camp. The goal of this series is to help you make the best possible coffee (and best possible coffee experience) no matter where you are.

Maybe you’re staying at some luxury Yurt campsite on the Oregon coast, and want better coffee. This series is here for you. You could be completely off the grid on the side of some mountain; again, this new Coffee Camp series will have pertinent information for you so you can have a fantastic coffee experience while staring out at the wilderness. You could just be hanging out at an outdoor picnic at an urban lake, or just chilling on your back deck; we’ll have some great content geared specifically for you as well to get better coffee during those experiences.

This series is going to be very different from most “hey, here’s how you get coffee while camping!” blog posts (and frankly, click baity, affiliate link inspired crap) you might find online. To be frank, I really dislike that kind of blog content, and you’ll never find click bait stuff here.

Our Coffee Camp series going to cover a broad spectrum of topics and article styles:

  • We will be giving you real, solid advice and recommendations on equipment, based on actual real world testing and experience. We won’t talk about products we haven’t owned and/or used extensively.
  • Our Blog Team is going to give you step by step advice on how to customize and build your own unique coffee travel setups.
  • We’re going to talk about techniques and hacks on making coffee better while off the grid.
  • You’ll see blog posts presenting a wide range of options covering how to heat water, how to grind coffee, and even how to roast coffee while off the grid.
  • And we’re going to give you some creative, inspired writing as well, talking up the experience of enjoying really fantastic coffee completely off the grid, in the great outdoors.

Our Blog Contributor Team is really geared up for this series. We plan to roll out articles for the Coffee Camp series all spring and summer long,  and you will be able to easily search all posts via the Coffee Camp tag. And if you have suggestions for this series, or even want to contribute to it, please feel free to fill out our Blog Idea Submission form (look for the button to click); we welcome any idea that helps people get better coffee while in the great outdoors!

Our first articles are already in the queue and will be coming out soon. The very first one, based on a travel siphon coffee setup, is coming in just a few short days!
