We are in absolutely unprecedented times these days, and it all seems like it is happening so rapidly. The global pandemic is just in its early stages at the moment, and it will have a long lasting impact – on personal lives, on relationships, on the health and welfare of our loved ones, and on businesses, small and large.
The specialty coffee industry will be impacted hard by this event. From trade shows shutting down to cafes closing their doors and everything in between, we’re seeing impacts already.
But our industry is resilient and filled with dedicated people working on their crafts. We will come through this, and it’s quite possible we’ll come through this even stronger than before and more educated and sensitive to others. We can use this time to hone our home coffee skills. We can use this time to educate ourselves on our favourite hobby more. And we can use this time to continue supporting specialty coffee businesses by continuing to order great coffees from some fantastic roasters. One thing not affected much by COVID-19 is the supply chain; food is still being delivered as normal, the mail is still churning along at full speed, and delivery companies are still doing their thing.
Roasters are still producing product. This page will be a live place to find coffee roasters who are doing mail order (and in some cases, local delivery order) coffees. Here are the countries currently represented on this list:
