Positive Product Points

This is the machine I was waiting for! The romance of the E61 and the ability to profile on the fly. Nice craftsmanship, well thought out and engineered, it is a pleasure to use!

Negative Product Points

My main complaint is the inability to finish the shot when the water level is low, as I run the machine off the tank. This is not an issue when plumbed in ans has been fixed in version 2.

The shot timer disappears as soon as the lever is lowered. Not a huge deal, as I use the scale with timer . This has been fixed in version 2.

Detailed Commentary

Last year I decided to up my espresso game by upgrading the HX for a DB. I have considered the ECM Synchronika, Profitec 700, LMLM and just couldn’t pull the trigger. Then enter the Lelit Bianca and the decision wasn’t so hard anymore. The machine is a dream to use. It gives me the ability to be as complicated or as simple as I want to make it. At 6:00 am, the last thing I want to do is think!! I have the machine set to the standard 9 bars and just pull the shot. On the other hand, when I have the time and the inclination to play, out come the lighter roasts, long preinfusions and the ability to change it all on the fly. I also entertain (or used to) on the weekends and pulling multiple shots and steaming milk at the same time is a nonissue. The machine is solid as a rock and the recovery time is minimal. By the time my puck is prepped, the Bianca is ready to go. This machine is the best price/performance in its category.
