Bottom Line:
Love this machine and continue to explore all it has to offer to customize my espresso shots.
Positive Product Points
This machine is breeze to use once you get past the learning curve. Amazingly consistent results with many different coffee roast types from local roasters. No issues so far and the pressure control value gives you so much flexibility to pull a shot. Steam pressure if excellent for those creamy lattes and cappuccinos.
Stock tamper and porta-filters are very high quality. Back flushing is easy.
Negative Product Points
Runs out of water mid-shot without warning which is mostly fixed by V2 release. Stock shower screen does not last very long, got clogged and needed replacement in 3 months. Stock baskets are not high quality, I ended up purchasing IMS and VST baskets. Water Tray on all machines I’ve seen has a bow shape front panel that destroys the look of the machine with crescent shape reflections off the steel. If this was a German manufacturer, it would be flawless stronger piece of steel for the water tray that would look completely flat.
Detailed Commentary
First prosumer espresso machine and loving it. With regular maintenance and care this machine seems to be built for the long haul.
Pros: This machine is breeze to use once you get past the learning curve. Amazingly consistent results with many different coffee roast types from local roasters. No issues so far and the pressure control value gives you so much flexibility to pull a shot. Steam pressure if excellent for those creamy lattes and cappuccinos. Easy to clean and back flush. Plenty of accessories in the box. Adjustable water tank placement.
Cons: Runs out of water mid-shot without warning which is mostly fixed by V2 release. Stock shower screen does not last very long, got clogged and needed replacement in 3 months. Stock baskets are not high quality, I ended up purchasing IMS and VST baskets. Buying Experience
Jim at 1st-line was very kind to go over the details and share some pleasant (and humorous!) reports from Bianca customers who were suddenly drinking way too much coffee, not using their steam boiler as much because the espresso tastes so great. Jim also assured me how a UPS shipment is a safe option to choose. The after sales support has been amazing with a replacement accessory component being sent free of cost.
I went with Jim’s recommendation on the grinder to pair with the Lelit Bianca, and it has been working very well for my needs. Highly recommend working with 1st-line and can’t say enough good things about Jim. He is passionate about helping you make the right choice for your needs, and his wealth of knowledge gives you that added peace of mind.
