Lelit Bianca, Len Shober

You can tell from my rating that I love this machine I got from 1st Line Equipment.  It took my a while to make the switch over from my VBM DD3 but I am glad I did (VBM broke down and it took me about a year to get the part I needed so I bought the Bianca during that year).  Very well thought out.  Great controls.  Great steam.  Very good customization with the paddle.  It is simply a wonderful and reliable partner.  Highly recommended.

Some of the minor annoyances such as not being able to put it into sleep mode when leaving at night have been fixed in the most recent update which can be done with a small charge at 1st Line.

I am working on brew ratios, brew pressure and preinfusion variables at present.  The Bianca makes this quite easy with the paddle.  I sort of play the paddle like a musical instrument at times.  I like that I can brew at 9 bar or 8 bar or all the way down to 2 or 3 bars for a while. The steam wand is quite powerful and adjustable so that I can get a good angle of attack.  And it is cool touch.  The hot water line is the same and you can adjust that temperature as well.  It also moves away from the work area nicely.  I really don’t have a ton to say other than I really enjoy this machine and am able to make the best espresso that I have ever made.  What more can you say.

Jim at 1st Line and all their people are the best.  Always has time to talk coffee.  Loves to make coffee.   They don’t call him “Java Jim” for nothing.
