With our new website, we find the need to hire a new Advertising Sales Manager to help our website move forward so we can continue to produce exciting new content, and deliver new features to our readership base. The successful candidate will be a key component in making this website rich, vibrant and successful.
The Successful Candidate will be responsible for managing all of CoffeeGeek’s display ad programs we sell to clients, including our Newsletter, Podcast, Banner Ad program, Native Ad program, Call to Action, Box Ads, and our Google Adsense display program. They will also be responsible for finding new clients to advertise on our website, and work with our existing clients.
We are looking for a professional who has primary experience in digital marketing, but also knows how to cold call properly and engage with current and potential advertising clients. Like all Ad Management positions, this is open to a real go-getter who loves working with people, and isn’t afraid to put the work in to seek out new clientele. And if you love coffee and espresso, that’s even better.
We have set the groundwork for the successful candidate. Our new Advertisers Section is fully updated and complete; it is designed as a completely professional portal to introduce potential advertisers to our website and what we offer. We have a leads-list for the successful candidate to start with and have additional resources available for contacting new and lapsed CoffeeGeek advertisers.
Advertising Sales Manager Duties
The Successful Candidate will have the following duties on the CoffeeGeek website:
- Actively acquiring new advertising clients;
- Interacting and maintaining relationships with our existing clients;
- Managing and optimizing our Google Adsense program, including placements on the website;
- Managing our in-house Banner Ad program, including the software we use to display placements on the website.
- Working with our design team to design our Call to Action ad program spots; and
- Maintaining an ethical code of practice so advertising on CoffeeGeek remains low impact and does not deter from the reader experience.
In the future, this role will also have these responsibilities:
- Designing and publishing the weekly CoffeeGeek newsletter; and
- Acquiring and coordinating with clients for the CoffeeGeek Podcast.
Advertising Manager Requirements
The requirements for this position include:
- Formal training in Advertising, Marketing, or related fields;
- Excellent communication skills;
- 3 years’ experience actively managing Google Adsense programs;
- Full knowledge of WordPress and managing and using plug-ins within the WP environment;
- Experience with Mailchimp or other Newsletter email marketing services;
- Design experience in building effective email and online marketing; and
- Proficiency in ethical and low-impact SEO practices to maintain the high readability standard CoffeeGeek has set.
Optional Requirements (but beneficial to your application)
- Full knowledge and experience with Elementor Pro for WordPress;
- Design ability with Elementor Widgets;
- Loves coffee and espresso.
Compensation
Our compensation package is based on a minimum monthly stipend plus an aggressive commission package that can peak at 50% of new client placement sales. We consider this a part time position and will be on a sub-contract basis.
All details are to be negotiated, based on your experience, expertise and ability, but there is the potential for making low to mid four digits each month.
