Let’s dive into the built-in coffee grinder on the BES870XL and do a full top to bottom cleaning.

I previous videos, I’ve shown the basic conical burr grinder cleaning method as well as a shortcut method using uncooked white rice to do a similar job:

However, if your grinder has low output, there may be a blockage down under the grinding burrs. This requires disassembling the grinder, as shown on pg. 29 of the machine’s instruction booklet.

You’ll need a vacuum cleaner with crevice tool, a 10mm socket, some needle nose pliers or a pair of long tweezers, possibly a telescoping magnet, a tube brush of pipe cleaner and an old toothbrush or a small wire brush for cleaning the parts.
