Bottom Line: This is a great machine that makes pulling a decent shot and producing good micro foam every time as easy as possible.
Positive Product Points

The pressure profiling has saved many shots. Its great being able to adjust the pressure to get a good extraction.
The steam pressure is good and I’m able to produce flat whites just how I like them.
Being able to put the water tank on the side, means the machine tucks nicely under the cabinets without sticking out.

Negative Product Points

Not really a negative, but the machine comes set with maximum of 12 bar extraction. I adjusted this down to 10 bar. There are good resources online (video’s) on how to do this.
The machine front is somewhat cluttered making it difficult to clean … but that’s the nature of the small footprint.

Detailed Commentary

I took a break from coffee after selling my GS3. The GS3 was an impressive machine, but took up a lot of counter space.

The Bianca is an impressive machine too. I only use it for making one flat white at a time. The steam pressure isn’t the same as the GS3, but it’s very good and I can make good micro foam for my flat white. My GS3 was a volumetric, so didn’t have the pressure profiling paddle. I’ve now learned the benefits of being able to pressure profile to correct a slightly off grind / dose and also to taper off the pressure at the end of the shot to prevent too much blonding. Given I’m only making one shot, it’s important that it’s right … and for that the Bianca is great.

Buying Experience

1s-line were good to deal with and quickly replaced the drip tray that had a small scratch.
